A Day of Love & Hope: United for Humanity at Amani Children’s Home, Nakuru

On August 9th, 2025, United for Humanity visited Amani Children’s Home in Nakuru, sharing joy, love, and laughter with the kids. From dancing and storytelling to simple acts of kindness, the day reminded us of the power of giving back and the hope that shines even in the toughest circumstances.

On August 9th, 2025, United for Humanity joined hands for something bigger than ourselves: bringing joy, laughter, and love to the amazing kids at Amani Children’s Centre in Nakuru County.

The day began with excitement in the air, and from the very moment we set foot at Amani, the children welcomed us with open arms and radiant smiles. Their energy was contagious — playful laughter echoing through the compound, reminding us all of the pure joy of childhood.

💫 A Warm Welcome

One of our attendees, Mishy Tonui, captured it best:

“On our arrival, the kids welcomed us with faces full of joy and happiness. It was a heartwarming sight to see how they were happy and playful despite the hardships they had gone through.”

Despite their difficult journeys, the children’s resilience and optimism shone brighter than ever. Their home was spotless and beautifully organized, a true testament to the dedication of the caregivers at Amani.

🎶 Dancing, Braiding & Conversations

The day wasn’t just about giving — it was about sharing. From dancing hand-in-hand with the kids, to plaiting the girls’ hair, to simply sitting down and talking, every moment reminded us that kindness isn’t measured in money or grandeur, but in time, presence, and love.

Mishy shared how impactful the activities were:

“During the visit, I participated in various activities, including dancing with the kids, plaiting girls' hair and having conversations with them. It reminded me of the importance of social responsibility and the impact that a small act of kindness can have on the lives of others.”

💝 The Power of Giving Back

For Yama Ezra, the experience was deeply moving:

“The visit to the children’s home was very touching and fulfilling. I really appreciate the chance to put smiles on the children’s faces and share love with them. It reminded me of the importance of giving back to society. Looking forward to more of such events.”

And that’s exactly what the day was all about — not just charity, but connection. Not just helping, but sharing life, laughter, and hope.

🌍 Why It Matters

Events like this remind us of our social responsibility. Every smile matters. Every hand held matters. Every song sung together matters.

When we give, we don’t just change the children’s lives — they change ours too. They remind us to be grateful, to love deeper, and to keep showing up for those who need it most.

🙌 What’s Next?

This was not the end , t’s only the beginning. United for Humanity is committed to more visits, more impact, and more love. As Yama said:

“Looking forward to more of such events. Awaiting for more…”

And so are we.
